On January 9th, by the banks of the Pearl River in Guangzhou, the stage sparkled with starlight. The award ceremony of the 2025 "Better Design Award" International Design Competition, guided jointly by China Media Group, the People's Government of Guangdong Province, the People's Government of Guangzhou Municipality and the People's Government of Shenzhen Municipality, and elaborately created by CMG Video, was held with grandeur. At this high-end event that brings together global design wisdom and showcases China's innovative strength, Lingdu Intelligence seized the Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Design Award in one fell swoop with its independently developed curtain wall cleaning robot "Lingkong K3", emerging as a brilliant tech star at this year's competition.

As a high-profile competition co-launched by a national-level media platform and local governments, the 2025 "Better Design Award" International Design Competition has attracted global attention since its launch. A total of 15,691 entries were received from 69 countries and regions, covering multiple cutting-edge fields such as industrial design, artificial intelligence, sustainable living, and aging-friendly products. This is not only a grand feast of design, but also a global innovative dialogue for the future.

The award ceremony gathered a galaxy of distinguished guests and reached an unprecedented level of grandeur. Wang Sheng, Vice Governor of Guangdong Province, and Dong Weimin, Chief Accountant of China Media Group (CMG), attended the ceremony and delivered speeches. A host of authoritative figures from various sectors, including "People's Hero" Zhang Dingyu, Wu Shuoxian, Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Hou Baorong, Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), Thomas Garvey, Former President of the World Design Organization (WDO), and Dong Mingzhu, Chairperson of Gree Electric Appliances, gathered together to witness the rise of China's design power.
In his speech, Dong Weimin emphasized that "the 'Better Design Award' International Design Competition is a vivid practice for CMG and Guangdong to thoroughly implement the strategy of 'Manufacturing Powerhouse'." For his part, Vice Governor Wang Sheng stated that Guangdong will continue to foster a world-class business environment to provide a fertile ground for global innovators, and "join hands to create a brighter future together."

To stand out from such fierce competition, the award-winning Lingkong K3 is not only a high recognition of Lingdu Intelligence's technological strength, but also a powerful testament to the evolution of China's high-end intelligent equipment—from "manufacturing" to "creation", and from "functionality" to "humanistic care".

In cities dotted with skyscrapers, curtain wall cleaning has long relied on manual high-altitude operations, which are fraught with high risks, low efficiency and heavy costs. Lingdu Intelligence keenly identified this industry pain point, dedicated itself to R&D, and launched Lingkong K3, a world-leading curtain wall cleaning robot.
As the competition judges commented: "Lingkong K3 is more than a technological innovation; it embodies profound care for workers' safety and a sense of responsibility for the sustainable development of cities – this is precisely the core of the 'Getting Better and Better' philosophy."
Vision: Let intelligent services warm every inch of space

This award is not only an honor for Lingdu Intelligence, but also a new starting point. On the far-reaching stage of the "Getting Better and Better" International Design Competition, Lingdu Intelligence stood out from the fierce competition with numerous top enterprises and research institutions. This not only demonstrates our innovative strength and humanistic care in the field of intelligent service robots, but also confirms the belief we have always upheld: the value of technology lies in serving people, caring for people and empowering people.
Our vision is to build an intelligent world where "no one risks danger, and all things can be cleaned" — to keep the skyline of every city safe and clean, to protect every worker from high-altitude risks, and to bring the warmth and precision of China's smart manufacturing to the whole world.
